I try to mostly post bonuses that are available nationwide or at least in a large regional area. I also like to share deals that are only available here in the KC area for any local readers of the blog. I only post about local deals during the weekend.
I received a promo in the mail from Bank Liberty informing me of a $100 bonus for opening a checking account with direct deposit. In the small print on the back they also mention a requirement of making three bill payments a month which is not mentioned in the body of the letter. It also states that you must keep the account open for 12 months with the direct deposit and three bill payments a month or you will be assessed a fee of $100. The deadline for this bonus is February 28, 2009.
I couldn’t find any info on the promo on their website. This might be a targeted offer. I’m going to pass on this deal because the bonus requirements are too cumbersome. If you are interested in doing this deal you could call your local branch to see if the promo is open to everyone.
