WaMu is offering a $100 bonus to credit card customers that open a WaMu Free Checking account. 
To be eligible for the offer, you must open your WaMu Free Checking™ account between 11/24/08 and 01/24/09 with a $100 minimum opening deposit of new money (money not currently held by JPMorgan Chase Bank or its affiliates). The bonus will be deposited into your account within 12 weeks after account opening, but is not considered part of the minimum opening deposit.
This is a targeted offer received by email but there have been some reports that you can call and get the bonus as well. Check out the promo page for more info about this bank deal.

wamu-What A Mainly Useless bank.i spent more time talking to them to get bonuses ,3 differnt bonus offers denied,then its worth.no promo code record,etc.on fileTHEY ARE A RIP OFF
I haven’t had any experience with them myself. Maybe now that they are a part of Chase they will improve their service.
On the bonus/promo page, you must enter a promo code to get started on the offer… so if you don’t have the promo code to enter online, I guess that you will have to call WAMU to open this account in order to receive the $100 bonus.
When I signed up for a Wamu account a couple of months ago, I signed up hastily and didn’t put the full amount that qualifies you for the $100 bonus.
I did nothing else with the account, except for one purchase and one deposit, and I check my account two days ago, and I received a $100 bonus! I checked to see if I actually qualify, but I don’t, so this is interesting.
I’m not complaining!
