OptionsXpress $100 Bonus Offer Extended

June 10th, 2008 · 4 Comments

The OptionsXpress $100 bonus offer has been extended until the end of June. I have already received my $100 bonus for signing up and another $100 for referring a new customer with more pending.

You can receive a $100 bonus for signing up for an OptionsXpress account. You need to deposit $500 in funds and make at least one trade. The commission for a trade is $14.95. If you buy a $1 stock you’re left with a profit of $84.05 after making the trade. The funds must be left in the account for six months. If you would like to sign up for this bonus send me your name and email via the contact form on my about page. I’ve already signed up for an OptionsXpress account and received my bonus with no problem. After you sign up you can refer a friend for a $100 bonus also. For more details on this deal visit the OptionsXpress bonus page.

Are there any inactivity fees or other hidden fees for this account?
So basically all I have to do is invest $500 in optionsxpress, make one trade, and close the acocunt after 6 months. And the bonus ( minus commisions) is mine to keep?
I would keep my account open if the trades weren’t that expensive .

DGI- If there are any fees on this account they are well hidden because I haven’t found them. What you describe is what I plan to do as well.

I have this a/c (with Metropolitan Bank) and i did indeed receive the $200. HOWEVER, they do insist that you channel direct deposit of your FULL PAY CHECK for six months (and that pay check needs to be a minimum of $500/month).

I thought that i could get away with just doing an ACH transfer and have it classed as “direct deposit” (which is obviously accepted by most banks in order to meet the d/d stipulation)…but not so - they asked me to fax a copy of my payslip before they sanctioned the $200 bonus.

Several months later, i had my wife open this a/c and again they required the payslip to verify that the amount of the direct deposit corresponded with the FULL SALARY.

Having said that…it was a free $400 for us (total) and i have no problem banking with them. Heck, they even reimburse all ATM fees (including those charged by other banks/institutions).
