Ouch!…Credit Card Arbitrage Killed My Credit Score

by andy h on March 21, 2007

It is well known that doing credit card arbitrage is detrimental to your credit score but I didn’t expect this dramatic of an effect. My credit score dropped from 733 in February to 677 in March. The only thing that should have negatively affected my credit is the credit card arbitrage. These are the FAKO scores from Washington Mutual but they are supposed to be reasonably accurate. The lower credit score is unlikely to affect me since I don’t plan on taking out any loans other than Federal student loans. Still I would prefer to have a higher credit score.
