Above comment from Grand Apple CSR. I’ve never heard of this distinction between an “opening inquiry” with Equifax vs. hard pull credit inquiry. Are you familiar with such a distinction, and does the “opening inquiry” negatively affect your credit in any way?

I am not sure what they mean by \”opening inquiry\” but I\’m guessing that is a soft pull of your credit. From what I have read a soft pull inquiry on your credit will not negatively affect your credit.

has anyone opened an account with this bank? Seems little shady as they are listed on bankrate.com as grandyeild direct, then you click over to theapplebank.com and if you try to register you are sent to yet another site where you are asked for all of you vital info. Too much for me I think since it is only a saving account where I would be giveing the money. I am not asking for credit so why would they need to know all of the information they ask for like where I work and more.

I checked the FDIC website and they are listed on there. I plan on opening an account with them but haven’t done so yet. When I do I will post on the process.
